  • Please maintain silence in the main temple hall.
  • Please refrain from private conversations and gossip during service to God.
  • Devotees shall follow proper  dress code. Please avoid shorts and tank tops.
  • Please do not eat Prasad in the main temple hall.
  • Please ensure that children do not run around in the main temple hall.
  • Please remove foot wear and stack them at designated areas.
  • Please abstain from bringing food items with onion or garlic to the temple, adherence to vegetarian food is strictly enforced.
  • Please do not use items in the temple kitchen as they are not for public use.
  • Please help keep the restrooms clean.
  • Please volunteer to help the temple in any activity.
  • Please do not touch idols; only the priest and his designated helpers are allowed on the dais.
  • Please enter the temple through the designated entrance only.
  • Please do not put posters or announcements at the bulletin board without prior permission from HTGT office management.
  • Photography and videography is allowed, but you need to take prior permission from HTGT office management.

By Car: Our physical address is 16943 East 21st Street, Tulsa, OK 74134. Please click here for the map.

By Air: The nearest airport is Tulsa International Airport (TUL). It takes 25 minutes from Tulsa International airport by car.

By Bus: There is no local bus services available for temple at this time. By car, it takes around 25 minutes from Tulsa Downtown bus depot.

By Train: Unfortunately, there is no train services available near by Tulsa area.

Temple Rituals

Abhishekam (Bath): The gods are given a traditional bath by the priest with skim milk, honey, yogurt, fruit juice, sandal water, turmeric water and water. Throughout the ceremony, chanting of hymns from Vedas is performed.
 
Alankaram (Dressing up): of the statue is done by the priest, behind the curtain, while the devotees continue to sing. The priest also offers to God the food items brought by the devotees.
 
Haarathi (Pooja): The priest removes the curtain for prayers, this is symbolic of removing the veil of illusion to behold the truth. Synchronized with prayers, lighted lamp is shown to God by the priest.
 
Blessing and Prasadam: Devotees are offered the lighted lamp, milk/holy water, fruits, nuts and raisins. The priest also blesses the devotees with the Crown. Food items which are offered to God as ‘Neiveidhiam’ are distributed to devotees as ‘Prasadam’, in the kitchen or the community hall.
